Amazon is cracking down on Prime freeloaders
Ugh, Amazon's cracking down on the Prime freeloaders! The end of the Prime Invitee Program? Sounds like the party's over for those mooching off their friend's or family member's accounts. Frankly, I'm not surprised. It was a pretty sweet deal, but unsustainable, I imagine. They're a business, after all, not a charity (though some might argue differently after looking at Bezos's net worth…).
As for me getting my own Prime membership? Let's just say I'm weighing the cost-benefit analysis. Free shipping is nice, but is it nice enough to justify the annual fee? I'll be looking closely at those "perks" – streaming services are tempting, but I'm already subscribed to half the internet, so… it’s a tough call.
To the Prime-sharing community: enjoy your last few weeks of blissful, borrowed shipping. Your reign of free two-day delivery is ending. (And don't even think about setting up a rotating account system - Amazon's probably already a step ahead of you.)
